Free Family Fun in the Fraser Valley
Our Family Friendly Review of Albert Dyck Lake
Where is Albert Dyck Lake?
The lake is located at Albert Dyck Park. The address is 31515 Walmsley Street, Abbotsford BC. It's a man-made lake that basically neighbours the Abbotsford Airport. This makes it very convenient for people coming from all over Abbotsford, Aldergrove, and even Langley.
There is free parking for guests, but the parking lots definitely fill up. We went on a Monday, and had no issue, but weekends are probably quite busy.

Pro/Con List for the Lake
At first glance the lake is very nice. Here is a quick rundown of our observations:
It is clear to see that the Pros certainly outweigh the Cons of this Fraser Valley jewel!
Suggested Age Level for this Lake
On the other hand, the sloped beach was a highlight for the older kids! They had a blast running down the hill and splashing into the water, so as long as they can help you with all your stuff, then this beach may just be perfect for you!
Albert Dyck Lake is awesome, and is definitely worth visiting. Although there are some things that could be improved, this lake experience was really nice. The people at the beach were very respectful and kind, and everyone was having a good time. It was the perfect way to spend the day, and the tuckered out, happy kids in the back of the car on the ride home would certainly agree. In fact, they even made us promise that this lake would be part of our summer traditions from now on. I'd call that a winner.
